KEYS 2 DAYS

DAY 1 . GAIA / PORTO KEY - source location output at the agreed time in tour bus, the way stop for breakfast (free). Arrival at the hotel in the area where a delicious welcome lunch will be served. After lunch, we will visit the Fort of San Francisco, located in the hills surrounding the center of Chaves. It was built in the mid-seventeenth century to the defense of the town by being a strategic location due to the proximity to the border with Spain; Chaves Castle, was built by King Dinis in the fourteenth century. Located at the highest point of ci- ity, the Camões Square, Key Historical Center. The best preserved element of the castle is the Keep, the defensive tower topped by almeias, who was the military center, administrative and politi co Keys. The highest point of the tower can admire a wonderful view of the entire city. In 1978 he was inaugurated inside the tower the Military Museum. The castle from the outside there is a garden where are exposed works of the Museum of Flaviense Region. It is classifi ed since 1938 as a National Monument. Return to the hotel for dinner. Return to the hotel to rest.

DAY 2 . KEYS - MIRANDELA - PORTO / GAIA breakfast, followed by a visit to the city of Mirandela. Soon after city tour, you can do a tasting of traditional sausages. Return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, we visit the Fort St. Neutel, located a little further north of the Fort of San Francisco. It was built a few years after the San Francisco Forte, in the year 1664, by General Andrade e Sousa, to protect even better the outskirts of the city. It is a military fortification square plan star-shaped bastions and on street corners, very similar to the Fort of San Francisco. Access to the interior of the fortress is through a stone bridge. Then we will go to "John Baker's Shop" (Easter cakes King), and tourist train ride (optional). In prudent time, return to our homes.
